"Not As Happy With Case As Expected" 2009-03-19
By Geoff Taylor (Huntsville, Alabama)
I received an iPod Touch for Christmas and after looking through reviews, stores, etc I chose the black Griffin Wave Case for my new fancy toy... best Christmas present ever! After my wife spent some time with my iPod Touch she decided she wanted one as well. So I bought her one for Valentine's Day. She also liked my Griffin Wave case and decided to go with the pink model. Design-wise it's just as good as my black case. But here's the issue:

The pink coloring is flaking off. Not just a tiny bit in one spot or two, but large parts of the pink coating on the sides and back have completely flaked off. It looks absolutely horrible. Is the case still sturdy? Of course. But she went with the pink for more than protecting her iPod-- she liked the extra pink touch. With the way it looks now though, she may as well have hunter's orange or some other nasty color. She's very disappointed with the case and I'm disappointed with Griffin Technology for such shoddy work.
