I have owned a number of iPods since the first 5 gig models. In that time I have used any number of cases, and in the end, and after many case purchases, I always ended up using the case that Apple formally shipped standard with their iPods (about 100 years ago now). Apple's case was basically a sleeve that is very similar to Sena's Elega Pouch case offered here.
My old Apple case which worked great right up to my iPod video model now no longer fits my new slender 64gb iPod Touch. So I looked high and low for a new sleeve-like case. I stumbled upon the Sena Elga Pouch and quickly ordered it.
What a great case. Very handsome, elegently simple, and fits my iPod Touch 3G perfectly. The case even looks better in hand than the Amazon picture shows as another reviewer noted as well, and the build quality is very good.
Having said all this, I recognize that this case is not for everyone as you do not have direct access or functionality of your Touch while it remains in the case, so be aware of that. This is not an issue with me in the way that I use my iPod, but if you're looking for a good quality case to transport your iPod or iPhone in then this is it. This quality case is a winner.

This case is gorgeous and well-made, but the slip-in-from-the-stop style of the case makes it very difficult to use on the go. I walk to class and work, and I often want to take my ipod touch out to change a song, lower the volume, or check the time. I can't access the ipod without completely removing it from the case, leaving the item extremely vulnerable if I were to trip or drop it. I feel this negates purpose of a case, which is to keep the ipod safe and clean. If you need a simple form of storage for the ipod and won't be fiddling with the item much, this is a great case. But if you walk or exercise with your ipod and frequently remove it to change songs or play games, this isn't the case for you.

The leather on the case does not look anything like the picture on this page. It has a lot more shine and is a lot more better looking. And after 6 months of owning it it still looks good. When it first arrived the case had a nice tight fit for my iPod touch, but now it's become a little loose. The belt clip goes four ways, so you can place it on yourself however you want. I use it sideways on my waist; it's so small you hardly notice it's there. And after a year of pulling it off my belt, the clip has never broken. A few things I didn't like are:
1) Having to pull out my ipod all the time when I changed music, which a wrist remote could probably solve
2) My headphone wire snags on something and the entire iPod flys out, which bluetooth headphones do solve.
3) When I pull out my iPod, the screen is always foggy. I don't know if it's something a film for the screen would avoid.

first of all make sure your ipod touch is 1st Gen if you're getting this.
when i first stuffed my ipod touch ( 1st Gen ) in it i couldn't take it back out literally that is how tight it was. i was afraid my screen would crack from the pressure ( no joke ).
my solution was to stuff an object thicker than ipod in there and leave it in for a few hours after that it worked fine. but at first i almost returned it becuse it was downright ridiculous.
the overall quality of this product is FANTASTIC. it is extremely strong and durable, the stitching is nice, leather is nice, the padding and velvet inside are nice. everything is nice. except for the fact that you will barely be able to use it for the first week.
after some initial desperation i am finally very happy with this pouch. i doubt you can find one of better quality. very stylish. four stars because WAY too stiff out of the box.
