"WARNING: picture does not represent product u will receive." 2009-10-03

Having just bought the 3G ipod, i quickly realized that i need to seriously protect my new toy... errr "productivity tool". from the gorgeous shiny steel back to the awesome touch screen - the itouch 3G is an awesome synergy of software and hardware. i chose to get a "hip-case" so i could take the Pod with me without subjecting it to pocket lint filling up the ports, change and other knicknacks dinging and scratching the beautiful finish(this happens very quickly) and without having to fumblewith the device when pulling in/out of pocket($$$).

as for the product in review the DLO HipCase Nylon Folio with belt clip for iPod Touch. The product on the picture is NOT the same item u will recieve. i thought i'd try it anyways since the pod us just naked at the moment. What I recieved was a nylon folio type case that flips open on the front and allows access to the touch screen. Quick review, this thing sucks ass its a very poor design and construction. 1st: the felt lining that is supposed to protect the Pod does not extened all the way to the flex joint of the case - where most of the galling between the Pod and case will occur when you open and close it. 2nd: the analog volume controls on the left side of the device is now hoplessly occluded by one of the case straps. i know what some of you might be say "hey waitaminute... the default Apple headphones that come with the itouch have volume controls on it and there also volume controls on the touch screen as well". True. Very true. BUT.... if you bought this device to listen to great music you'll know to set aside the apple headphones and get some good "noise isolators" which GREATLY enhance the iTouchs' audio delivery in ANY environment, thus rendering the default earbud mounted vol/pause controls null. so the only option you have to control the volume is to open the case, tap home button, unlock screen, tap on music icon, slide vol control, deactivate screen and close casecover - a little too much even for a touch screen and thats why apple cleverly put the analog controls there.
