I purchased this item after reading some of the previous reviews, it is the worst ever. It drains your ipod battery like no other. the play time is maybe a half hour to 40 minutes. I have a 4th gen ipod nano, but i dont think that has anything to do with this.
It changed frequency at the slightest motion.
many times, it just starts scanning through all the stations and stops playing.
impossible to use when connected to be charged.
Bad transmission.
Horrible product, do not buy.

I love this product! When I ordered it, I selected the standard shipping option, but I received it in 2 days. I tried the fm transmitter on my car and it worked perfectly, even with the car situated in the garage(surrounded by walls). I took the transmitter upstairs and tried it on a basic boombox and it worked great. There is very minimal static, if any. I couldn't hear any static in my car when I played music. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who owns an Ipod touch 2G. You won't regret spending the money. Hands down, one of the best fm transmitters I've ever used.

I was so excited to receive this product. I needed a transmitter and charger in one. The transmitter worked okay beside having to switch station every few minutes, or placing my hand over the end of the transmitter to stop static. What was so upsetting is that the charger easily BROKE out of the transmitter.
- Static-y transmitter
- NO CHARGER!
- Piece of Crap!

Sound had heavy static unless within 1 foot of antenna. Tried in 2 different cars with different stereos; however the results were the same.
Send the product back to manufacturer for a refund. Two months later - still no money.

I bought 2 of these, 1 for my Ipod Touch 2nd gen and 1 for my friend's Iphone 3G. His did not work at all for his Iphone, and mine broke in about a month. And by broke I mean the firewire/usb cable that connects the charger to the transmitter broke. The firewire side of the cable basically pulled out the plastic housing on the transmitter. I never did anything to the transmitter except use it occasionally in the car and I left it in my glove compartment most of the time. The fact that it broke after just 1 month is just ridiculous. It still works but I noticed the difference in sound quality. It has lots of static, BUT it even had static before it was broken. The reason is that certain frequencies are better in one city but might not be good in another city. I ended up buying a tape converter that has the auxiliary cable instead (which is what I should have done in the first place). If your car still has a tape deck that is what I recommend, it's also at least 4x cheaper.
